A core part of our local authority printing service is the work we provide to electoral administration departments. Of all the areas of council print, electoral print is perhaps the most demanding and requires a specialist approach. Therefore, for 20+ years we have equipped ourselves with knowledge, affiliations, people and the technology it requires to service this market.
Today, we are affiliated with the Cabinet Office, The Association of Electoral Administrators, and The Electoral Commission, to keep up to date with the latest legislation. When it comes to delivery, we employ people with a strong background in print and communications and who share our company values. We have the latest printing technology and huge operational network to carry out local authority printing.
Our qualified team is made up of print and mail specialists, alongside election experts for our electoral print and mail customer base. Each local authority printing customer will have a dedicated account manager who is a single point of contact, each is qualified and legislatively experienced and will provide primary support to you. Our production and administration teams are also crucial to the success of your account and although not customer facing, will be working hard behind the scenes. Finally, in line with our open-door philosophy, our management team are accessible to customers, if needed.
Following the completion of a B.Sc. degree course in Printing and Packaging Technology, John started his career as a print consultant at a small company before progressing to the position of Sales Manager at a plc, where he spent many years building the business. Moving on, John joined another printing company as General Manager, which was his last position before he started Print Image Network Limited together with Stephen Power. Since established in 2000, Print Image Network has had many notable achievements including winning several industry awards such as ‘Best Print Management Company’. Seeking further opportunities, John and Steve launched UK Engage in 2009, a full-service election brand. John is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Stephen’s background is in communications, marketing and design. Having gained a first-class honours degree in Graphic Design, he utilised these skills when he began a career in marketing services, taking a position as a studio manager for a leading educational supply catalogue. A move into the world of conferences, promotions and product launches then followed, where he became a senior designer and stage manager for a leading conference production company. In 1991, Stephen moved onto a sales and marketing with an established print management company and it was here that Steve met John Foster (later to become fellow Director of Print Image Network) and began to forge a career in print. The rest, as they say, is history. Stephen leads the company’s Customer Service Excellence and Investors in People programmes to ensure all local authority printing customers receive an excellent experience.
